Happy New Year!
MINISTERS’ CORNER
Here it is 2007 already. Seven years into the new century. Time sure goes
fast. It is going to be the best year yet. We must learn to live every day to
the best and fullest. Every morning when you wake up, ask God to show you the
very best for that day and He will. Wake up with a smile on your face and a
song in your heart. That is going to be my goal for every day in 2007. I am not
going to make any resolutions, so I will not have to break them. Every day will
be a happy, prosperous and caring time for me. How about you? What are you
going to do in this brand New Year? If you believe “all things are to him who
believes.” My belief in Jesus the Christ becomes deeper and stronger as the
year proceeds. Every day is a happy one from beginning to end. See you in 2007
– a Happy New Year to you.
Love, Rev. Marie

A Very Happy New Year to all! Just a few lines to let you all know that we had a splendid Christmas. The Center gave out 4 food baskets and Christmas trees. Thank you Lloyd for the trees. The church hopes to do more next year, we find that we can’t out-give God. Many thanks to those of you who sent cards and the love gifts to help with the cost of the newsletter and baskets. God has been good to us this year. All of the goals for the Center were met and many that we had not thought of. Please send us your ideas and prayers. We welcome new ideas and prayers. We are continuing the spiritual breakfast on the First Sunday of the month at 9:00 a.m. so please bring a friend. This year we hope to have a pre-owned clothing area so that we can give out clothing that is needed to God’s special children. We have already begun this process, however pray that it grows. Thanks to all who donated.
Spiritual thoughts: I know through the gentle guidance of Spirit, I confidently follow new paths in life. When I ask for help, I am divinely restored to health of mind and body, when I can acknowledge God’s loving presence. I am safe and confident in my deeds. I have found that Divine Love establishes order in my thoughts and in my day when I center and quiet my thinking. Know that you are the creation of God, that you were created to be and give the creation back by loving unconditionally, Have a Happy New Year. Please write or call us,
Your brother in God’s service. Rev. Ken
Happy New Year! May
your New Year be filled with love, health and prosperity in all areas of your
life! New beginnings and the promise of renewal are the things I associate with
this time of the year. Celebrating the birth of Christ Jesus brings renewed
hope and a sense of wonderment of the promise fulfilled by Jesus. Thank you all
who participated in the Christmas program. There are many changes ahead for all
of us. We have seen our attendance grow and the fellowship increase with much
more enthusiasm. The New Year promises to bring more growth and wisdom, if we
are open to God’s guidance. Ask Him for direction; listen for the answer. It
will come, if you believe.
Love, Rev. Kay

The Ocean
Beauty to me
Is the sea
The water meeting the sky
The color blue
The white waves too
Pelicans and seagulls flying high
The white sandy shores
The colorfast shells we adore
The mystery they do hold.
The ocean and its call
The unknown of it all
The story of the sea that’s never told.

You are Special
You Are Special
Your presence is a present to the world
You're unique and one of a kind
Your life can be what you want it to be
Take the days just one at a time
Count your blessings, not your troubles
You'll make it through whatever comes along
Within you are so many answers
Understand, have courage, be strong
Don't put limits on yourself
So many dreams are waiting to be realized
Decisions are too important to leave to chance
Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets
Don't take things too seriously
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets
Remember that a little love goes a long way
Remember that a lot... goes forever
Remember that friendship is a wise investment
Life's treasures are people... together
Realize that it's never too late
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way
Have health and hope and happiness
Take time to wish upon a star
And don't ever forget...
Even for a day...
How very special you are.
