MINISTERS’ CORNER

Rain, rain, go away, come again another day. This is the first month of spring. It is nature awakening from winter. Life to me is like that. After the drudge of winter, I need the rain of spring to awaken me. God has planned my world in perfect order. I don’t follow it all the time. When I don’t, God always remains. He sends people to protect me, guide me and give me peace. Another day comes often for me. I am so thankful to God for taking my hand during the rain and guiding me through whatever it is I am worrying over, whatever I am fighting about in my mind. It doesn’t matter where I am or what problems I make for myself, God is always there. Anytime, spring, summer, fall, or winter, day or night, I can turn to Him and find peace and love. It seems good to see another day come. God bless and love you.

A very Happy Easter to one and all. Thank you all for your phone calls and letters of support. I feel good about how our newsletter is being received. Things at the Center are going well. We seem to be seeing a new spirit from God every Sunday. I am looking forward to our Easter Service. Next year, we are going to propose a sunrise service. We will need your input. The spring flowers have been planted and God has done his handiwork. Thanks to everyone who has asked for special healing prayers for their loved ones. I thank you for the love offerings that support our ministry. Rev. Kay and I will be officiating at weddings this next few months, so if you know of a couple that need a minister, we will be happy to officiate. The Center is also having an Easter egg hunt for the children after church services Easter Sunday. We will be looking for you. Spiritual note: When I trust God, I am blessed throughout my journey in life. As my heart overflows with God’s love, mutual appreciation, caring, and respect are shared between myself and others, my relationship take on greater meaning and purpose. As God’s child, God richly and increasingly blesses me. The beauty of the earth is for every one of us. Flowers bloom for everyone to enjoy. The sun rises and sets for all of us. I am here on earth to love God and help others.  Love in service, Rev. Ken

May you all have a blessed Easter! April is a great month! The daffodils and hyacinths are blooming. The beautiful colors of spring are everywhere. This Easter we celebrate on April 8th. Worship with us as we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord. Bring your family and friends to hear Rev. Ken’s message of hope throughout April. Thank God we have the ability to listen to the message. Remember, if we sit in judgment and criticism, we miss the miracle of opportunity to learn what the message is about.  We are also celebrating Rev. Marie White’s birthday. She will be 87 years young on the 23rd. The celebration will be Sunday the 22nd. We are blessed to celebrate our Fifth Anniversary on Easter Sunday. Come celebrate with us!  I pray that we always remember the greatest gift mankind ever received from God, Jesus Christ, His Son. God bless you. Love, Rev. Kay

POETRY CORNER

Like the Whisper of Spring

As buds burst forth from gray      branches,

     And green shoots poke through the sod,

So Easter comes gently into our lives,

     Like a whispered message from God.

Renewing our spirits, restoring our hopes,

      Revising our theories of how aims are achieved-

Easter contains a challenge for us.

       To believe more than we yet have believed.

It is well that Easter should come in spring,

         In a season well-marked by fresh starts;

For sorrows and failures can be left behind

         When it’s Easter in human hearts.
