MINISTERS’ CORNER
Whee! It is hot! It must be summer. Spring has come into summer. We are
ready for the outdoors. It is great to see all of nature beckoning us. You see,
God is good to us. He gives us winter to relax in, Spring to become awake, summer
to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, and fall to get ready for winter. Thank you
God for the four seasons to enjoy all of life. If only we learn to follow God’s
way how happy everyone would be. The 4th, we celebrate our country’s
independence. The 28th, the World War I began and we emerged from it
more independent. Enjoy every day of July. Go outside and see what has and is
changing. Are you ready for change? At 18 and 19, I was full of go, go, go. Now
70 years later, I just want to enjoy what I have. Yes I have changed. I have
lived and traveled in most of the states. People have different looks, but the
same way of life. I love to live God’s way since I found him and know how God
would want us to live. Love is what Jesus the Christ came here to bring to His
people. Love, understanding and peace. I love each and every one of you. Love,
Rev. Marie
Reverend Marie White
Happy Independence Day! Not only has summer begun, but also the 4th of July is here. I remember going on picnics at the lake and lighting the ladyfinger firecrackers, eating watermelon and all the good wholesome fun. Do you have similar memories? Thank God for this beautiful live we have the Center is growing in spiritual ways. We now have the advertising in the Coffee News, thanks to a very special donation. We have a website that is up and running, thanks to another computer angel donation. Just remember. You cannot out-give God. We have a person who stepped in when we went to a family reunion. What a wonderful time we had. It is good to see the different ways God works in our lives. Thanks to a special angel the gas was paid for and half of the room rent. Because of her we were able to make the trip. Thank you, God. The last week of June, Kay and I were sick with the flu. Thank you for your healing prayers. We had a special angel come and pray for our health and healing for stress. Spiritual Notes. I am truly blessed each time I pray for others, for I am reminded of our unity of spirit. When I say my life affirming prayers for others, a positive life affirming response happens in my life. When I express the love of God within my heart to all people and in all situations I am expressing a pure heart. Sharing God’s love with others through acts of kindness and words of support, we give encouragement. Love in service, Rev. Ken
Happy Fourth of
July! We spent a glorious time at our family reunion. What a blessing the
family is! We saw Hell’s Canyon. I would like to rename to God’s Gift Canyon.
It was so magnificent. We have such an awesome God. We were blessed with good
weather and we met such nice people everywhere we went. Many thanks to all of
you who supported the Church while we were gone. We saw animals and birds in
abundance. God took care of us all of the time. I offer a prayer of
thanksgiving to Him for a safe and wonderful trip. Everywhere I go, when I go
to bed to the store on a trip, I know that I am never alone. I am safe and
secure in God’s hands. Look for it everywhere – you will find it – if your mind
is opened. Trust in Him to guide and protect us. I am looking forward to seeing
you at church next month. Now that summer is here, remember to enjoy your life.
Look for the good, and trust God to figure out the rest! Love, Rev. Kay

Celestial Moments
By Norman V. Olsson
Stargazing on a moonlit night
At glimmering galactic light
I witness in my solitude
God’s majesty and magnitude
Aware of cosmic unity
Enshrined with in infinity.
From Eden’s home to far beyond
Both view and viewer seem to bond –
Our destiny is surely wed
To their wondrous depths overhead.
Slow
Me Down, Lord
Ease the pounding of my heart,
By the quieting of my mind.
Steady my hurried pace with
A vision of eternal time.
Give me amid the confusion of
The day, the calmness of the
Everlasting hills.
Break the tension of my nerves and
Muscles with the soothing music
Of the singing streams that live in my memory.
Help me to know the magical
Restoring power of sleep.
Teach me the art of taking minute
Vacations – of slowing down to
Look at a flower, to chat with
A friend, to pat a dog,
To read a few lines from a good book.
Slow me down Lord, and inspire
Me to send my roots deep into
The soul of life enduring
Values that I may grow toward
The stars of my greater
Destiny.
