October 2007
MINISTERS CORNER
It is almost All Soul’s Day. But first we get
to have fun with Halloween! I thank God for the change of seasons. Autumn is a
special time for me. I especially like the harvest and the beauty of fall. I
see God with His paintbrush and we see the same beauty but with different eyes.
I know that God is the ultimate artist and His works are perfect. We are
planning a special party for everyone at the Center. I found out that none of
the children and half the adults have never bobbed for apples. God has blessed
us with an old galvanized tub, so here we go with an old fashioned party. Look
at the pictures on our website and join the fun. If you have any old stories or
tales, please e-mail them to us. We would love to share them with the children.
We are still looking for a musician and people who are musically inclined.
Please keep our needs in your prayers. Thank you to all you prayer warriors.
Our healing ministry is so successful. We are offering a special thank you to
those of you who support our newsletter ministry. Last month, we started a Pay
Pal account, which allows us to receive love offerings on the Internet. We have
had two donations from one of God’s children out there in Cyber space. Thank
you. I will be setting the spring bulbs next month in our flowerbed at the
church. If you would like a special flower bulb planted please write or email
us and let us know what kind you like. For this is your ministry as well as
ours. What a beautiful way to show God’s bounty - with His flowers! Notes of
wisdom: When I feel and see that I am
blessed by God’s presence of light and love, I know I am ready for a new day
and another spiritual adventure with positive influence for those around me. As
I still my thoughts and concerns, I feel the love of God radiating from my
heart to those around me. When I see things with my heart, I know that God is
working through me for my highest good. That is why I tell others that they are
here not by accident but by Divine Order. I have discovered that through the
power and the Presence of God, I see the world with new eyes. I know that
today, when I open my hands and heart to my needs, I receive and am able to
draw from God’s abundance. I know that you cannot out-give God and it is an
honor to be His steward. When I attend to the spiritual needs of the people
that God has placed in my life, with compassion and love, God works through me
to demonstrate His abundance for them. Know that you are loved and have a
special place in God’s circle. We need you in our lives and give thanks for
your loving support. Love in service, Rev. Ken
October is here! When did
the year fly by? The beauty of fall takes my breath away. This must be the time
of year that inspired someone to label the retirement years as the Golden
years. All of God’s creation has a correlation to us when we look for it and
the seasons of the year are no different. Thank you for your prayers for the
Center and the people on our prayer request list. For those of you online, take
a look at our web page. Please email us
with any ideas you have and we will see if they are something we can do. As we
enter fall in all its glory, the holidays loom in the future. Always remember
the spiritual meaning of the holidays. It is love. Just as simple as that! The
love that God has for us is never- ending. It doesn’t run out. There is plenty
for all of us. I feel that God has blessed me with all of you. We did a survey
awhile back and asked what you wanted the ministers to teach about. There were
all kinds of response; the biggest response was to teach about God’s Love and
how we can get it. One of the wonderful feelings I felt was you wanting to know
about God. Today, I focus on establishing communication with God, a thankful
heart for giving us His Son and redemption for each of us. Learning that
forgiveness of others is crucial to us and our spiritual lives, we teach about
the how’s, whys and what forgiveness is and isn’t. Clearing away the stuff in
our past that keep us from the Sunlight of the Spirit and inviting our Lord
into our lives is the way to start. There is much more –Come take this
spiritual journey with us. The companionship with God and each other is
something that is Heavenly. Love, Rev. Kay
