MINISTERS CORNER

Revs. Ken and Kay
Leppell
Happy
Father’s Day! Just a note from the Ministers Corner! Last month was quite a
month. Starting with Spiritual breakfast, we all had a good time and felt the
presence of Spirit as we shared with each other. We had three baptisms in May
and a very special Mother’s Day. The young people’s music for Mother’s Day was
great. The carnations given to every mother was very touching. Thanks to all of
you who sent or gave love offerings. It keeps these newsletters coming and the
doors of the Center open. If you have not experienced how sharing God’s gift of
prosperity in your life with others enhances your own prosperity, come give it
a try. Every Sunday, someone shares how their prosperity is on the rise since
they have shared their love offerings in church. The Holy Spirit has truly
blessed us with these givers. AFFIRMATION: I live in the present moment with
God, knowing that all is well with His gift of Grace. I know that I never feel
anxious when I take time to pause and recognize that God is here with me in the
present moment. I feel the power of God’s love, the safety of God’s presence
and the assurance that I am never alone. With this knowledge, I can express the
joy of living in what I think, say, and do. Each day I give thanks for all my
dear friends. Did you know that we are participating in God’s divine plan for
friendship that is Spirit- guided? Thank you for your prayer requests. I see
you all renewed with health and vigor. God bless you all.
Your
servant, Rev. Ken
June is here all ready. Father’s Day is just around the corner. We wish all Fathers and great day. It seems as though we just celebrated Christmas. Now the youngsters will be getting out of school. Last month our King’s Quintet and our Angelic Voices Girls Chorus performed for the first time on Mother’s Day. What a great program! After they finished the young people went into the congregation with carnations to present to their mothers and every other mother who was present. They are excited to start practicing for Father’s Day. We also had two baptisms on Mother’s Day. Rev. Ken had another baptism the last Sunday in May. What a blessing our church family is! Remember that we can share our joys AND sorrows within our church fellowship. By doing so, you give the message that you need prayer and you will find that you are not alone. There is nothing that cannot be handled with prayer, acceptance and love. Always remember that we are here to serve. Jesus admonished us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Love yourself enough to reach out. I know for a fact that one learns how to be a giver by the way he or she learns how to receive. May God bless each and every one.
Love in God’s service, Rev. Kay
MUSIC MINISTRY
Introducing our Music Director
Hi everyone! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Marian Curtis and Rev. Kay gave me the title of Music Director. When I received this newsletter after my first visit in last fall, 2007, there was an ad for a piano player that caught my eye. I received another letter and the ad was still there. It was a Sunday in December that I attended the services once again. After the services, I found myself being lead (a floating feeling) to Rev. Kay and out of my mouth, I asked if they had found a piano player, that I played and would like to try out. (I had been thinking of selling my piano because I hadn’t really been playing it and felt it was taking up space.) Unknowingly, God had other ideas for my piano and me. HE gave me a musical gift and was not going to let me give it up. So here I am and enjoying every minute, my piano and I are busy every night practicing for Sunday services. We have children and young teens in our congregation that sing and play instruments. We have formed our very own instrumental “King’s Quintet” and the “Angelic Voices Girls Chorus.” Mother’s Day was their first performance. It was wonderful!! Now we are practicing for Father’s Day, June 15th. I would like to invite anyone of any age who can play an instrument of any kind or who would like to sing, to come join us. Please contact Revs. Ken or Kay. I give thanks to God and my friend Gerald for leading me to the Center of Metaphysical Enlightenment. My light has been shining ever since! The warmth and love I feel here from the congregation is just one more blessing in my life.
“Sing praises to the Lord and give thanks.” Marion Curtis

POETRY CORNER
What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
