     MINISTERS CORNER

Revs. Ken and Kay Leppell

It is time for Independence Day again. .All is well at the Center. We enjoyed a wonderful time on Father’s Day. The King’s Quintet played and the Angelic Voices Girls Chorus sang. I was honored to present the flag and have two of the grandsons, Andrew and Ken, march in the honor guard position and our other grandson, Chris play the National Anthem. Thank you to all who were there. Our spring flowers at the Center are beautiful. We thank the ones who donated the love gifts for the rose bushes and also to those who support this monthly newsletter, We are having the breakfast on the first Sunday of every month at 9:00 am. Let’s try something new. Send us your testimonies of healing and/or of answered prayer. We will publish them in the newsletter, Let’s share the good news that prayer works with others Affirmation: Let Go and Let God. I know that as I let go and let God that I become a powerful expression of good. The choices I make are blessed as they touch others. They not only give my life a new meaning but others as well. We live a life of fun and awareness. This awareness not only heals each other, but brings greater harmony to our relationships. Last week, the service was about prosperity. It was based on the book, ’The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity” by Catherine Ponder. I shared that you are a spiritual being made in the image and likeness of God, a loving Father and a rich universe that are just waiting to share all the good that is yours by divine right. By giving a love offering that is a fair measure, you will receive everything you need for this life- for your mental, physical and spiritual development. Those who have put this into practice are already sharing the abundance of God. I have learned that if you want something to change, then change something. All you have to do is to say YES to happiness. Send us your prayer requests and know that you are loved.

Your servant, Rev. Ken

Happy Fourth of July! I hope every one has a safe and sane holiday as we celebrate Independence Day. School is out and the young people are having fun. Last month, our quintet and choir did an awesome performance for Father’s Day. We are looking forward to the church picnic. Come join us after church on July 27. The church will supply the hotdogs and hamburgers. Please bring your favorite side dishes to share with the congregation and their families. We are looking forward to many more people who would like to join us on Sundays. The more the merrier. When we worship together, we become a mighty prayer force. Our work as Christians is not limited to one hour a week. I see people hungry for the word of God., learning quickly that our God is an AWESOME God. Knowing that we are one with Spirit and welded together by our faith, there is nothing impossible with our Lord at the helm. Invite God along as you go through your day, ask that your heart be opened to new possibilities for you to serve Him. Your horizons will expand and your understanding of what prosperity is really is- will manifest itself in your life. Come join our wonderful family in discovering what your connection to the Lord can be. Listen to the testimonies of answered prayer. May God bless each one of you.

Love in God’s service, Rev. Kay

I was diagnosed with an aorta aneurysm a year and a half ago. We have been praying for the aneurysm to be healed. On June 16, 2008 the Drs did the follow up ultra sound and could not find any sign of the aneurysm. The technician checked the previous results. It was gone. Praise the Lord! POETRY CORNER

The Lifeline

Let no day pass you by, my friend,

Wherever you may trod,

That you don’t try to spend

Some prayerful time with God.

He will share your joys and sorrows.

Whatever they may be,

For He sees beyond tomorrow

What waits for you and me.

Our heavenly Father loves us, and we should love Him too.

We should never be too busy

To tell him “I love You!”

Each sunrise should remind us

That He’s watching from above,

As He lights the path before us

And fills our hearts with Love.

Let no day pass you by, my friend,

Without a word of prayer,

For prayer is the lifeline

That shows how much you care.

- Clay Harrison -

Spiritual Love

Stop, and you may feel my soul          commune with yours,

Hark, and you may hear me whisper to you in the gentle breeze,

Look and you may see my face in quiet waters as I search for yours,

Smell, the new-born buds of spring and  know that I am near!

Taste, the luscious berry on the logan vine,

And at His banquet table – Clasp your hands across the miles in mine!

- Charlotte Olsen-
