MINISTERS CORNER

Revs. Ken and Kay
Leppell
We
wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. All of us at the Center are looking
forward to this wonderful time of year. I would like to thank all who made the
Harvest Celebration a success, especially the children. On November 2, the
youth of our church will be conducting the service in its entirety for the very
first time. I hope that you will make plans to come see this wonderful
opportunity to witness the beautiful faith our young people have. Rev. Kay will be taking pictures and put
them on our website. Please go online and check out the website if you are not
able to attend. As in the past, the Center is collecting non-perishable food
items for Christmas baskets for those who are less fortunate. The Center is
providing turkeys and hams for the baskets. Any love offerings are always
welcome. This year appears to be harder for more people; however, God always
takes care of us. Thanks to all of you who send love donations to support this
newsletter. We use the donations for stamps and printing. Please keep your
prayer requests coming- that is our “job”.
I
know I share a special blessing with each person I meet or talk with along
life’s journey. I never have to go it alone during anytime of challenge or
opportunity, because I am never apart from the presence of God. When we are
centered in God, we have purpose in being a unique expression of Divine Life in
the world. I believe in the power and presence of God moving in and through me.
This gives me confidence in myself. You can have this same confidence. With
God, we are all that we were meant to be.
Your servant, Rev. Ken
November and Thanksgiving are here. We are electing a new President and I pray that whoever is elected, that they are for the people and our country’s welfare .Let us stop for a moment and offer prayers for those men and women who have lost their lives for this country and for the servicemen and women who are still fighting. God bless America. Thanks to those who help prepare for the Harvest celebration and the children who participated. I am looking forward to our spiritual breakfast on November 2 and the young people who will be running the service. They will deliver the message and play the music. We are truly blest with this young people. November has been a time for gratitude to God for all the blessings I have received, whether I am aware of them of not. God seems to work in those mysterious ways to perform His miracles. Have you heard people say, well I did this and I found the job and on and on? How great some of us think we are! If we look at the real facts, God’s hand has been at work. “We have just happened to be at the right place at the right time.” Give the glory to God. I am filled with gratitude and Thanksgiving. I ask God to bless the readers of this newsletter and the members of the Church. There is so much to be thankful for – we have such wonderful people in the church. Join us and experience the absolute vibration of acceptance and love. Thank you all for being present in our lives and the life of your church. Love in God’s service, Rev. Kay

POETRY CORNER
Thanksgiving Prayer
I thank you Lord for harvest grain,
For plums and apples too,
For sunny days and gentle rain
And skies of deepest blue.
I thank you for a place called home
Where love and laughter live,
A place where all are safe and warm
And ready to forgive.
I thank you for the soothing peace
That comes at close of day
As I my cares and fears release
When I kneel down to pray.
-Chris Ahlemann-
God and Autumn
Let the brightness of this day
Tell of the brightness of Thy Glory;
The warmth of the autumn sun
Of Thy unfolding love;
The blue that stretches out into the unknown
Of Thy boundless purity:
Let the wind speak of Thy Spirit
Moving among men.
Let the rows of shocks in the fields
The bulging bins in the yards of our farms,
The well – fed cattle in the browning pastures
Speak of Thy goodness to men
