     MINISTERS CORNER

Revs. Ken and Kay Leppell

March 09 The Center is starting to look better for spring. The Riverside Valley Grange, from whom we rent, has remodeled the restrooms and we have requested new decorations for the walls.

Outside, this month, we will be replanting our front flowerbed. The young people are in the planning stages of an Easter Cantata. Thanks to Marion Curtis our Musical Director and Rachel Denney for their hard work and of course, everyone concerned! Thanks to all of you who have continued to support this newsletter, I know that God is blessing you now. Just know, in the words of a Unity prayer, “ the Light of God surrounds you, the Love of God enfolds you, the Power of God protects you and the presence of God watches over you. Wherever you are, God is. We cannot out give God. God will do everything that we cannot do for ourselves, and will not do anything we can for ourselves. This way, I can let go and let God be my guide and I am blessed beyond measure. Our MC’s for Sunday services are rotating monthly. Michaela Lindsey will be our MC in March. I have shared many times that all in life is by Divine Order. When I acknowledge Divine Order, I benefit in every situation. I open myself to pure Wisdom that inspires understanding regardless or the circumstance. I know that I can contribute to the order of my live by living in truth. Today the portal of my mind is open to divine ideas and understanding, which far surpasses anything else I can learn. I know that Divine ideas become a working part of my consciousness. Thank you all for being a part of this ministry.

Your servant, Rev. Ken Leppell

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all of Irish descent! Let’s not forget those who are Irish-just one day a year. Spring is coming! Every plant that we thought had died or went dormant is showing the signs of renewing. There will be life showing itself again. The flowers are growing and the trees are budding. Look around for the measure of God’s love everywhere. The abundance of prosperity is in direct line with our own thinking. As we think, it will be manifested in our lives. Watch your thoughts! Are they self-defeating? Limited? These are the pitfalls that will keep us from achieving all that we can be. Are you willing to stop “contempt prior to investigation?” Have you made decisions based on fear rather than trust the small still voice inside of each of us? God’s plan for us is witnessed every season of the year. We have life –always. Easter is just around the corner on April 12th. It is going to be a special Easter Sunday with an Easter Cantata. We are looking for volunteers who can sing or play an instrument to be part of this service. I hope all those who live in the area will be able to attend the service.  We have several March birthday celebrants who attend our church. The ones I know are Gerald Cozad, March 4; Rachel Denney, March 14; Andrew Phillips, March 12 and Norma Corcoran, March 9.Happy Birthday to all of you! God is blessing you right now. Remember to live every day you are on this earth to the best of your ability. If you thank God every day for what you have, instead of complaining about what you do not have- God will multiply your blessings. The life of Christ Jesus exemplifies this perfectly. His teachings and sufferings bring this fact home at this Lenten season. I am in awe of the enormity of the Love of God. I pray thanksgiving to Him for all that He discloses to me. God bless all of us. Please be sure to check out the last page of this newsletter. It has an important form to fill out and return to us. Thank you!

Love in God’s service, Rev. Kay

POETRY CORNER

Cheerful Resolve

I’ve reached my threescore years and ten,

The Bible limit; so what then?

I’ve still ten fingers, all my toes,

See with my eyes, scent with my nose.

Should I bring walking to a stop,

All my activities let drop?

Have I delayed my flight too long,

Or should I go on with a song?

For still I love to laugh and joke

And play at games with friendly folk.

Perhaps the good Lord wants me here;

Thinks maybe I can spread some cheer

In all this time of want and gloom;

Feels that there still is lots of room

For greetings gay and laughter sound.

So maybe I’ll just linger round!
