     MINISTERS CORNER

Revs. Ken and Kay Leppell

MINISTER’S CORNER

Just a note of love to all of you! How good life can be when God is in the equation. Spring is the time of abundance and spiritual growth. Gifts of ideas and needs, which were planted in the fall are ready to bloom like the laws of nature. I am now ready to give and receive, increasing the flow of abundant good. I know that this one God is for everyone. When I put this belief into practice, my prosperity starts to flow into everything I do and say. Thanks for the love gifts and flowers for our Easter decorations. They truly added to our Easter Cantata. Please know that those of you who couldn’t come were truly missed. I was blessed to add a baptism during Easter services. We welcome Kevin Havener to God’s congregation. Our Membership Sunday is the 3rd Sunday in May. As new members come in, we receive and increase the flow of abundant good. Once again, I say to you that we cannot out-give God. When I speak words of faith about our spiritual life, my body responds with God’s grace, by healing and renewal, I become physically strong and mentally alert and centered. This is how with God’s help, I can add to the Divine order of my life. Know that we can receive insight in prayers and meditation. Let us ask ourselves – Am I prepared for new experiences as the earth is prepared for the spring Know that the center is ready also to love you and all your new experiences. Please write, phone or email us with the gift of yourself.

Your servant, Rev. Ken Leppell

Happy Mother’s Day

May is such a beautiful month. I can see God’s work and love in all that He has created. The birds, the insects and the young new lives within each community of God’s world. The flowers are blooming, showing their faces so all can marvel at the wondrous works of the Lord. The birds sing first thing in the morning – before getting anything to eat and they sing just before nightfall. I believe they show me that I too, must communicate with God first thing in the morning and the last thing before I go to sleep. They teach their young where they come from and wings to fly away to start their own lives. What a lesson for all of us! Let us teach our children. Teach them the way of the Lord. Teach them right from wrong. Live a life where our children can learn values and rules and rejoice that we, as parents take an active part in their development. Teach our children respect for the Lord and they will respect us and other people. Isn’t that what God does with His children? How blest we are that God loves us! We learn from His word what our lives are to be like and the rewards that come from obedience. I wish everyone who has a birthday in May, know that God is blessing you right now. I wish to thank Marion Curtis and the Denney Family for the beautiful Easter Service. We have so much talent in our church. Every one is a gift from God. Every one contributes to God in some way. Thank you, God for these blessings. On July 10, 11, and 12, the church is having a campout in a beautiful setting in Glenoma, WA. We will have worship services on Sunday at the campout instead of our regular place. Contact us by phone, email or regular mail if you would like to attend. There is no charge for the use of the land. There will be more information later. Membership Sunday is the 3rd Sunday in May. Hope to see you all at Church for Mother’s Day. I love each and every one of you. I wish Happy Mother’s Day to each of you, Moms and the fathers, who have been both Dad and Mom to the children. What an honorable part of life that is!

Love in God’s service, Rev. Kay

POETRY CORNER

Let Us Take Time

Let us take time every morning

To turn to our God and say

Thanks for another restful night

And the dawn of a brand new day.

Thank you for the blessings and gifts

You’ve given us all these years,

And for the times You helped me through

Life’s many heartaches and tears.

Thank you for this beautiful world –

For the flowers, the birds and the trees,

And for so many precious children,

We thank you for all of these.

Your blessings and gifts outnumber, by far,

The stars that shine above,

But the one we treasure the most of all

Is your overwhelming love!
