MINISTER’S CORNER
September
2009
Thank
God for newsletters. I would not know that the month is ended. We seem to get
quite busy doing God’s work. Kay has been down with pain in her back, but she
is getting better. We have Marion back, playing the piano after her shoulder
surgery. Our home has been painted! Thank you Donny and Victor. God bless you.
This month, Kay and I have officiated at a funeral, wedding and a baptism.
Welcome to Maggie Mercedes Paris, our newest member in Christ. Special thanks
to all of the fisherman at our river who have donated fish to be smoked and
enjoyed by all. We have two people at church who need transportation. Please
pray with us for their needs. Thanks to those people who sent love donations to
help support this newsletter. I know that like plants that need sunshine and
nutrients to grow I, too need to replenish my mind, body and spirit. I do this
by taking a moment to acknowledge God as the source of healing life. I
visualize my cells and tissues filled with new energy. Whether the changes I
face are minor or major, I now have the spiritual tools I need to meet them
with confidence and faith. The spirit of God fills my mind to help those who
need help-material or spiritual. I know with your prayers, we see these things
crystal clear, and I am free to make healthy choices. I give thanks for our
church and my ministry, all of you in my life. In your service,
Back-to-School Time
It is also time for the Western Washington State Fair here in Puyallup, WA. This is a great time for all people to have a great time. Are you stuck in a rut? Is your mind open to the good our Lord has for us? Whenever I speak or feel negative about situations, other people, or perhaps have preconceived ideas about things that actually might help me, I shut myself off from living in the gift that God has presented to me. For instance, if your physician suggested that in order to get relief from physical pain, he wants to you try an alternative medical practice, how would you accept the idea? So many people I have talked with about this idea have said “no, not me! Because I know someone, who knows someone that had a bad experience.” God has blessed me with a seeking mind. Christ said, that “greater things than these would be done.” Bias and prejudice are fear-based caused by ignorance. Where would we be, if Christ had been too afraid to die on the cross? There would be no Christianity. For it took His sacrifice and His resurrection to form Christianity. By using the gift of discernment, by following the law of God, common sense will prevail and obeying the instructions about living found in the Bible, will take away my doubt and fear. I will trust in God. I will be able to live more fully in Christ. I thank you all for your prayers for me. God is good all the time. I wish all of you with birthdays in September a most blessed year ahead, including my son, Brad Lanksbury, a happy birthday on the 23rd of this month. Thank you for your support and love,

POETRY CORNER
The Golden Thread
Look not for the differences in
your religions,
But look for that one Golden Thread,
The thread that binds all truth.
Herein lies the Key
To understanding
the difference
Between
Worship and Spiritually.
Only through Spiritual
Enlightenment will you
Learn the duality of flesh and spirit
How to exist in the flesh, But live in the spirit.
It must be learned through the Heart,
And not the flesh.
Once you have discovered this,
You will discover, it is the Wisdom of Choice,
The choice God has given us in all our
thoughts and actions.
The future is not set,
Your lives and future
are not planned.
If that were so
You would have no choice.
It is through your choice
that you abandon
one path for another.
Look for the Golden Thread that binds
all philosophies and religions together.
Seek the simple purity, with that
you find
Profound Truth.
Given through the Eagle from Spirit of No Name
