MINISTER’S CORNER

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who receive this newsletter! Know that God wants to send you everything that not only is good to eat at this time, but every thing that will help you live this spiritual life. All we have to do is ask. At the church center, we ask for your prayers for success and we get to be part of your love and God’s grace. I wish to thank those of you who send us love gifts for this newsletter. Each month, you make it possible for the ministry of the newsletter. Thank you so much for your love. To everyone who read this newsletter and put this gift of love in your lives, you make us a success as well as yourselves. Look at your lives as God sees you whole and perfect. Know that you are moving forward rather than backward when you join with us in a new way of living. You can, with God’s help co-create the life you desire, and become more aware of your blessings and live in joy. This is the time for giving. I know that my giving ripples outward. What we give continuously is passed on as a perpetual blessing of love from one person to another person. At the church, we give thanks for this day as a day of oneness and to all those that help us with all our tasks - a day of celebration, “Thanksgiving” a day of love. Through God’s love, we are blessed beyond measure. Your servant, Rev. Ken

Rev. Kenneth J. Leppell____________

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are headed into the holidays. I thank all the support we have had in our church, the people who support us by mail and in person, their prayers for the church and their donations. I look at the year drawing to a close and thank God for the blessings of this past year. I thank God for all of you- those I have met and talked to and to those of you I haven’t been able to meet yet. There are many people in this world who do not see the gifts, but are consumed with the negative things. I heard a prayer that has changed my perspective about the things that happen in our lives. Dear Lord thank you for the seemingly bad in my life; for invariably it turns out for my greatest good. Amen. I am looking forward to speaking this month. I love to share the good news about God and our lives in Him. I wish Happy Birthday to all who celebrates in November. I invite you to church – those who have never been and those who have not been here for a while. God loves each and every one of us and wants to be part of our lives. All we have to do is ask. We are collecting food for those less fortunate than us. If you wish to bring your donations to the church, do so on Sundays. Donations can be in the form of cash as well as food or gift cards. Thank you again this year for your generosity. God bless all of you.

POETRY CORNER

Thanksgiving Prayer

I thank you Lord for harvest grain,

For plums and apples too,

For sunny days and gentle rain

And skies of deepest blue.

I thank you for a place called home

Where love and laughter live,

A place where all are safe and warm

And ready to forgive.

I thank you for the soothing peace

That comes at close of day

As I my cares and fears release

When I kneel down to pray.

-Chris Ahlemann-

God and Autumn

Let the brightness of this day

Tell of the brightness of Thy Glory;

The warmth of the autumn sun

Of Thy unfolding love;

The blue that stretches out into the unknown

Of Thy boundless purity:

Let the wind speak of Thy Spirit

Moving among men.

Let the rows of shocks in the fields

The bulging bins in the yards of our farms,

The well – fed cattle in the browning pastures

Speak of Thy goodness to men

- Levi H. Kocha -
