MINISTER’S
CORNER
A
very, Merry Christmas to all! It is hard to believe that we are here already.
How times flies when we have so many God days! A special thank you to God and
all the helping angels He sent, to do the many tasks that were so well done.
Know that the next year will be even better. When you have God at your back and
an army of angels-how could it be otherwise? We had a finger-food Thanksgiving
buffet on Nov. 22. We were able to share our best appetizers with each other.
Everyone seemed to enjoy this new activity. I know that today that our lives
are better. By aligning myself with all spiritual principles, I can now receive
all my God-given blessings. By applying spiritual principles in my life, I am
able to believe that a real transformation is possible. With God, all things
are possible. I have a relationship with God that is beyond all understanding
that fulfills me. I gratefully receive this gift today as God’s grace. Today is
the “present”. Yesterday is the past and tomorrow hasn’t come. Thank you, God
for your “present”, the Christ named Jesus. I can have a Merry Christmas every
day, for with my wife in Morning Prayer, and meditation, we get to live in the
“present”. We could not have had such a year without God in our lives and all
the gifts you gave, material and above all your prayers for your church’s
success. Thank you. Your servant, Rev. Ken Leppell

POETRY CORNER
Wonderous Night
Helen Parker
In the silence of that wondrous night
A star was shining extremely bright.
An angel appeared bringing tidings of joy
For soon would be born a baby boy.
So Shepherds and wise men followed the star
And others came from miles afar.
What child is this whom all await
His birth of which we celebrate?
He who was born in Bethlehem town
A King of Kings without a crown.
Who chose to be born in this humble way
In a stable so bare on Christmas day.
