MINISTER’S CORNER

A very joyous new Year to all, and a happy always for the coming year! What a Great Holiday season! This past month was a time for remembering the Christmas’s of the past and hope for our future. We are leased to let you know that we have now reached out to sponsor an outreach group called The Soldiers of the Cross. Please check out our website for the link to www.soldiers-of-the-cross.org or call or write us for more information. Our Christmas program was upbeat. Thanks to all who played their instruments and those who read. What stories were told! I wish you had been here. We had a large gathering and lots of love and good food. God bless the ones who brought food to share. God bless those who donate their money for printing and mailing costs. They make this newsletter possible. Please continue to send in your prayer requests. If you would like to send in articles, letters or tidbits for publication, please send them to the address at the top of this page. It is the New Year and lets make it a time for change. As you know, we believe in Divine Order. As we start our day, my wife and I hold hands and pray. Also before I start a project, I create a mental picture of what the end result might be. God’s design for order brings all things together in right ways with perfect timing. My life is in perfect order when I rely on God’s direction.

Your humble servant, Rev. Ken Leppell

Happy New Year! May this be among the best year you have ever lived. This newsletter might make it close to the first of January. We wanted to be able to bring you up-to-date on the reviews from the Christmas baskets and program. This year on the 20th of December, we had the most people at church I believe, ever. The young musicians played their solos that they had worked so hard at practicing. We had 1 cornet, 1 flute, 2 clarinets and 1 violin. We had Brock, who gave us a rendition of The Little Drummer Boy and a drumming solo from Susan Harris, who does wonderful rhythm facilitating on the drums. We sang songs and had a wonderful Christmas message from Rev. Ken Leppell. The church was filled with love and joy.  The church was able to give 5 Christmas food baskets, because of generous, loving members who shared their abundance with others. Thanks to all of you who have made this church such a loving place. The Grace of God shines through you. I am blessed to be able to share with all of you, the Burning Bowl ceremony again this year. It is on January 3 at 11:00 am. Come early and join us for the first Spiritual breakfast of the year. It starts at 9:30 to 10:30 am before services. Start your new year with great fellowship, wonderful food and love with the other members of the congregation. God bless all of you.

Love in Christ,

Rev. Kay Leppell

PRAYER FOR JANUARY

Lord; make me an instrument of your peace;

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

Where there is sadness, joy.

Oh divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

To be understood, as to understand;

To be loved, as to love;

For it is in giving that we receive.

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
