MINISTER’S CORNER
Wow!
What a beautiful Spring! The flowers at
the church are just beautiful, thanks to our garden angel. On the first Sunday of the month our “Gate
Keeper,” Gerald will be speaking. Kay
and I will be in the Tri Cities for fellowship and worship with some long-term
friends. I will be doing a special
wedding this month and working with a couple that will be marrying soon. Special thanks for all that have asked for
healing prayers. Please send us your
written testimony so we can put them in this newsletter. Let us know how God is working in your life. Last month we had visitors from
Rev.
Ken Leppell
Happy Mother’s Day! An enormous thank you to members of the armed services, past and present, those who survived and to those who gave the ultimate act of friendship and love. May is such a busy month. Happy Birthday to those with May Birthdays-Miss Amanda -Kay Maxine Denney on May10th, Bobbi Rainha, and everyone else with birthdays in May! Easter Sunday was touching, fun and memorable. Thank you, Rev. Ken for your teachings in April, the messages were so timely for all of us. We will have a guest speaker on May 2nd; Mr. Gerald Cozad will be speaking. Come to church early that day for the Church Breakfast on the first Sunday in May; enjoy the fellowship and the lesson by Gerald Cozad. Rev. Ken and I will be going to a conference in the Tri-Cities. I am looking forward to teaching this month. When I look at the continuous blessings we receive from God, all the miracles – no matter if they are big or small- those blessings that happen when you least expect it – I have to praise the Lord. I must thank Him right away. If things are happening that frighten me all I have to do is pray “help me Lord” and let go, trusting that He is in charge and know that my prayers will be answered according to my faith. Praise God for He healed me again!
Please keep praying for those on the prayer list. It does take a praying congregation to keep your church vital!
Love in Christ,
Rev. Kay

POETRY CORNER
Mother
To one who bears the sweetest name,
And adds luster to the same,
Long life to her, for there’s no other,
Who takes the place
Of my Dear Mother.

Lord, Please
Remind Me
Lord, please remind me
Of promises I made in prayer.
I said if You relieve me
Of burdens that I bear
I always would be trusting,
And my faith would never stray.
I’d know You walk beside me
Every hour of the day.
But, Lord, I’m only human,
And should burdens reappear,
I may forget I promised
To trust You without fear.
Again, please Lord, remind me,
I made a sacred vow
To never doubt Your goodness…
Lord, please remind me now.
